Narasinha Mandir

Nana Phadnavis Wada

This palace, 250+ years old, at village Menavli was constructed by Rajamanya Rajashri Nana Faadnavis in 1770s and is situated on the banks of Krishna River. It provides a smart audio guide to listen to the rich heritage information of Peshwai Era in a Storey-Tel form. This is called “(“मी वाडा बोलतोय”), in which the wada itself will narrate detailed information about the architecture, significance of each room, cultural events, etc. One can get a feeling of connection with history and culture while listening to the details of architecture of wada and special incidents of Nana Fadnavis.

Raireshwar Mandir

Raireshwar has a temple famous for its historical importance about 25kms. From Amogh Residency It’s said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had cut his little finger and taken the oath by dripping blood onto the Shivling of the temple. Thus, this temple played an important part in Maratha’s history. Deep valleys, very high pinnacles, huge plateau, long trunks, difficult turnings, and dense trees make this area a little difficult to explore in the monsoon.

Limb-Baramotechi Vihir

At a distance of 31 km from Amogh Residency, Baramotichi Vihir is an ancient step well situated near Limb in Satara district of Maharashtra. It is probably the only step well in Maharashtra and also one of the popular places of sightseeing in Satara.

Baramotichi Vihir was constructed between 1641 AD and 1646 AD by Sau Virubhai Bhosale. It was meant to be a water source to all the farms around with its 12 moats.

Today this fort has become a famous tourist spot near Mahabaleshwar as it is still in fairly good condition. There is a motorable road up to the entrance of the fort. Visitors have to explore the fort by walk/trek (around 1 km ). Inside the fort, there are small eateries for food and a rest house available for tourists.
